Some of my favorite autumn images aren’t of forests or mountain vistas — they’re smaller than that. A fallen leaf catching on a bark stub. A maple leaf resting on a circle of moss. The way a long-exposure stream turns silky around a rock while a single yellow leaf holds its ground. This gallery moves between those quiet, close moments and the bigger picture — foggy Ozark valley mornings, backlit maple canopies, the Washington Monument framed in fall color. Autumn is both intimate and grand, and I wanted this collection to honor both scales. The season burns for only a moment. These images keep it burning.
