Who I am
I’m a fine art photographer based in Oklahoma, selling prints of my own photography through this website. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, you can reach me at ken@kenhelmsphoto.com.
Information I Collect
When you place an order, I collect the information needed to fulfill it: your name, shipping address, email address, and phone number (if provided). Payment is processed by Stripe – I never see or store your full card number; Stripe handles that securely on their end.
When you sign up for emails (through the signup form on this site), I collect your email address and, if provided, your first name.
When you browse the site, some technical information is collected automatically: your IP address, browser type, and pages visited. This happens through standard website operation and security tools – I don’t use this to identify you personally.
If you leave a comment on the site, the comment form collects your name, email address, and IP address, per standard WordPress functionality.
How I Use Your Information
- To process and ship your order
- To send you order confirmations and updates
- To send marketing emails, but only if you’ve signed up – and only about as often as I said I would when you signed up (currently: no more than once a month)
- To respond if you contact me directly
- To protect the site from spam, fraud, and security threats
I do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Who I Share Information With
Fulfilling an order and running this site requires working with a few outside services, each of which only receives what they need to do their job:
- Stripe – processes payments. Stripe receives your payment details directly; I don’t have access to your full card number.
- Prodigi – (and, for certain formats, Bay Photo or White House Custom Colour) – my print fulfillment partners. When you order a print, I share your name and shipping address with whichever partner is producing and shipping that specific item.
- MailPoet – the email service I use to send newsletters and order-related emails. If you sign up for emails, your email address is stored with MailPoet to send those messages.
- SiteGround – my web hosting provider, which stores the site’s data on their servers.
- Wordfence – a security plugin that monitors for malicious traffic and may log IP addresses as part of that protection.
Each of these companies has their own privacy practices governing the data they process on my behalf.
Cookies
This site uses a small number of cookies for basic functionality:
- Shopping cart and checkout – to remember what’s in your cart as you browse
- Login sessions – if you have an account, to keep you logged in
- Comment cookies – if you leave a comment and opt to save your info for next time
You can disable cookies through your browser settings, though some site features (like the shopping cart) may not work properly without them.
Email Communications
If you sign up for my email list, you can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any email. Unsubscribing removes you from marketing emails going forward; I may still need to email you directly regarding an active order.
Data Retention
I keep order records as long as needed for legitimate business purposes (accounting, tax records, handling any returns or issues) and as required by law. Email list data is kept until you unsubscribe or request removal.
Your Rights
You can ask me at any time to:
- Tell you what personal information I have about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your information, subject to any legal or accounting requirements to retain order records

Children’s Privacy
This site is not directed at children, and I don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.
Changes to This Policy
If I make meaningful changes to this policy, I’ll update the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes will be noted here.
